The Vital Role of Nutrition in Sports Injury Recovery Highlighted in Guest Lecture at Master's Program in Sports Physiology, FK Unud The Master's Program in Sports Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, held a Guest Lecture session on Friday, November 29, 2024. Located at the Prof. Ngoerah Meeting Room, FK Unud Building, the event was attended by students, faculty members, and sports health practitioners eager to explore injury management from a nutritional perspective. This guest lecture featured the topic "Nutrition in Sports Injury Recovery," which was thoroughly presented by sports physiology and nutrition expert Dr. I Wayan Juniarsana, SST., M.Fis., AIFO. The scientific discussion was moderated by Dr. dr. I Putu Adiartha Griadhi, M.Fis. During his presentation, Dr. I Wayan Juniarsana emphasized that an athlete's injury recovery process relies not only on physical or medical interventions, but is also significantly influenced by proper nutritional intake. Tailored macronutrient and micronutrient management plays a crucial role in accelerating damaged tissue regeneration, reducing inflammation, and preventing muscle mass loss during immobilization. Through this Guest Lecture, the Master's Program in Sports Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, reaffirms its commitment to broadening academic horizons and delivering evidence-based scientific updates to support the advancement of sports health in Indonesia.
